Speakers explicated the newly developed methodology that are used to analyze survival patterns of earthquakes and the family-tree structure among the earthquake events in a stochastic manner. First speaker illustrated the fits of the Wenchuan great earthquake in 2008 using modulated renewal processes and second speaker, Dr. Jiancang Zhuang (統計数理研究所), applied the stochastic reconstruction technique to the earthquakes in Japan and the burglary pattern in Los Angelas, USA.
